Welcome to our Circulation Policies page! All of our rules for borrowing are listed below. Please contact us if you have any questions!

All physical materials except for museum passes and new DVDs and BluRays are eligible for renewal.

New print and audio materials may be renewed once for an additional 3 weeks.

Older print and audio materials may be renewed twice, for an additional 6 weeks beyond the initial check-out period.

Older DVDs and BluRays may be renewed for one additional week.

We are sorry, but materials that are on hold for other borrowers for pick-up in Windsor Locks cannot be renewed. We will be happy to place a hold for you, though, so you can get another copy quickly.

~ Museum passes (2 night check-out) and NEW Entertainment DVD's and BluRays are, unfortunately, NOT renewable, so please note the due date when checking out. All other items may be renewed unless they are on hold for a another borrower who will be picking them up at the Windsor Locks Public Library.

~ Payment must be made for damaged and lost library materials.

~ All borrowed materials except for museum passes may be conveniently returned to our book drop. Please be sure that all items are secured. Call us if the book drop is full; don't leave your returns where some one else can take them or damage them. Borrowers are responsible for damage resulting from improper handling of library materials.

~ The maximum fine that will be charged for one overdue item, with the exception of museum passes, is $5.00. Overdue museum passes accumulate $5 per day in fines. Fines are not accumulated on days that the library is not open. A user's borrowing privileges and public computer use are blocked when the level of unpaid fines reaches $10.00, so be sure to keep track and keep any outstanding fines UNDER that amount!
